Most monitoring tools are built for one of two audiences: enterprises with a budget for Datadog, or hobbyists who want a free uptime checker. What it does

CaneCron watches three things that quietly break and take your product down with them:

• Websites — HTTP checks with SSL expiry monitoring, so you know before a cert lapses.
• Cron jobs — ping-based monitoring that alerts when a job goes silent, not just when it reports failure. A cron that dies quietly is the most dangerous kind.
• Private servers — a lightweight agent that reports from inside your network, including disk, memory, and load. A full disk is the number one silent killer of solo-dev servers.

Why the agent matters

Anyone can ping your public homepage. What actually takes you down at 3am is the stuff you can't see from outside — the backup that stopped running, the disk that filled up, the internal service that fell over.
